Motivation Monday: The High's and Low's

"He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength." -Isaiah 40:29

I think we all can agree life is full of peaks and valley's. Highs and lows. There are mornings you don't feel like getting out of bed...You are tired or lonely or overwhelmed or all of the above. That "to do" list keeps growing, while the hours of the day seem to rapidly dissolve. It is in these low moments where we naturally turn to SOMETHING-a person, a feeling, a food, a drink, and the list goes on...However, do the affections we turn to actually bring us our greatest need?

As an artist knows his art piece, God knows me, and He knows you. In Psalm 139, it is written that we were uniquely knitted, each of us, in our mother's womb. He is acquainted with all of our ways, while knowing our whole life before our creation. Do you think he knows how we are wired? Our deepest struggle(s)? Our longings? YES. We were created for God himself. He awaits for us to return to Him. We are all prodigal sons. We will run away from God in certain areas where we desire to be god.

I Peter 5:6 says "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you…"

May we turn to Him today with our heavy hearts and messy minds and find the power and strength of our Creator.

God Bless,
