Recap of the Southern Select Pop Up Shop!
The very first Southern Select Pop Up Shop was held March 10th and 11th at the Cigar Factory in downtown Charleston. It was an exciting event full of great brands, fun activities, delicious snacks, and fabulous people! I'd say it was a success!
You may be wondering, "What is Southern Select?" Great question! Southern Select is a "thoughtfully curated selection of the best in baby, child, and lifestyle dreamt up by the next generation of Southern talent." Future pop ups will be held in other cities across the south, so be sure to follow them on Instagram and Facebook!
Today on the blog, I wanted to give you a visual recap of the event with links to some of the amazing brands. For those that could not attend or do not live close by, here is your chance to see a glimpse of the weekend!
Pictured above is our table space. I always enjoy the challenge of setting up! It is like a puzzle making all the pieces work together! Check out our Etsy shop to order any of the products pictured! (Or come visit us at the shop...218 B King Street.)
Next to us was our friend Melissa of the The Blue Root. She creates the most beautiful curated gift boxes packed full of Charleston made products! Be sure to check out our #FollowFriday post we did with her last year! Love her company's mission:
"Our mission is to feature artisans who work endless hours honing in and perfecting their craft and presenting their talent in a wood keepsake box to help celebrate those special moments in life."
In front of our table was Seed Factory, a baby boutique with a brick & mortar in Atlanta, GA. Their colorful collection of baby goods was absolutely adorable! If you live in Georgia, be sure to check out their shop on Howell Mill Road!
Our friend, Nikki Wood, was all set up with her amazing Templeton Silver pacifier clips! We featured her company a few months back on our #FollowFriday blog. The greatest thing about Templeton Silver pacifier clips is that the naturally antimicrobial silver beads have 85% less bacteria than other cloth or plastic clips! AND the clips turn into bracelets for mom when baby outgrows them!
I'm telling you, this pop-up was so fun because it was so many small business friends! Do you remember us talking about Emily Papuga of Suite 33? She had her beautiful pillows and bags all on display! I love all of her new patterns!
Cory McBee is the talented artist behind Modern South Studio. She has a lovely collection of modern graphic prints and abstract paintings! We were all swooning over her paintings at the show. I love her use of color with large strokes. You can find a few more of Cory's pieces in the stairwell at our shop!
Pretty sure these pictures speak for themselves! Simple, chic, eye-catching pieces all on display and available through Casuarina! Harriet Gilmore is the designer behind this line. She also happens to be a native to the Mt Pleasant area!
Hausful is the newest modern home decor store in the Charleston area. They set up a little portion of their shop at the front of the pop-up! If you like clean lines, pops of colors, functionality, and sleek edges...go check out their brick & mortar shop on Sam Rittenberg Blvd.
Fine art photographer, Leigh Webber, was also in attendance displaying her beautiful "Dive In" series! Each of the photographs makes you feel the sun, sand, and salt air vibes!
This beautiful set up of organic skincare greeted guests as they walked in the pop-up shop. Wash with Water creates natural soap, lotion and shampoo products for babies, kids and adults! Personally, I'm excited to try the baby products when Baby Kirby arrives this summer!
If you follow us on Instagram, you know we're a huge fan of the bibs created by Charleston company, Hemming Birds! You can find a selection of their products at our shop as well! Their booth looked amazing at the pop-up! Fun fact, HB is another small business we interviewed on the blog last year!
If you have a little one that loves to dress up, then you MUST check out Love Lane Designs. Her set up of carefully crafted costumes immediately captures your imagination! Designed in Savannah, each piece is a beautiful work of art carefully screen printed and sewn together! Be sure to visit the online shop to view the whole collection.
As you can see, it was a lovely event! This is only a portion of the vendors represented at the Charleston Southern Select Pop Up! I wish I had time to snap more pics, but definitely follow along with @SouthernSelectPopUp to learn of more great brands in the South!
Have a great day!
